律宾《星报》5月11日报道，菲律宾农业统计局周末公布上半年农业生产情况，1-3月渔业增长4%，而玉米生产下降2.56%，总产量从去年同期的199.3万吨下降至194.2万吨。菲律宾渔业局长萨米托表示，市政捕捞促进了渔业增长，今后应大力发展水产养殖，而玉米生产下降的原因是气候变化及肥料价格上涨。
