Last week, firstly, in terms of production, as of April 8th, there were about 61 starch factories in operation (week on week -8), and starch production continued to decline compared to the previous week; The supply of raw materials continues to decline, while the price of potatoes in production areas remains relatively stable. At present, the average production time per week in starch factories is 4.2 days (compared to last week -0.3 days); The relevant purchase prices for fresh potato raw materials are: 2100-2200 Vietnamese dong/kg in the southern region (compared to last week's -0 dong/KG, local potatoes, discounted by 30% flour content), 2020-2120 Vietnamese dong/kg in the central region (compared to last week's -0 dong/KG, discounted by 30% flour content), and 1860-1960 Vietnamese dong/kg in the northern region (compared to last week's+0 dong/KG, raw potatoes). Secondly, in terms of the market, due to the comprehensive impact of factors such as the upcoming shutdown of factories in the north, sustained sluggish demand in the Chinese market, and the Qingming Festival holiday, the export market of cassava starch in Vietnam is still in a fluctuating and wait-and-see trend, with prices still reporting a slight decline. The latest quotes of mainstream brands are (Qingdao Port CIF): low-end products 315-325 (-3), ordinary products 330-340 (-3), and high-quality products 350-360 (-2) (USD/ton).
